sounds great but sparks my curiosity too.
My relationship with Bollywood has evolved a lot, to the point where I’ m now working with composers like Vishal Shekhar and Pritam da who I grew up listening to. It’ s honestly an honour to just be in the same studio, let alone get a chance to work alongside them.
Recent, ly I worked on my own composition for the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan album called‘ Ishq Nachaawe’, which was a super fun experience. I’ m also working on some other singles that are part of a multi-producer album, but I think a film score is still a few years away.
You love crafting curated, immersive experiences for fans. Is there a visual or experiential project we can expect from you in 2025?
I think visuals play a huge role in actually delivering an immersive experience to your audience. When we did Wrckfest, the hall was full of lasers, flamethrowers, CO2, LED visuals, etc., but Kitty Party, on the other hand, is more prop-heavy, very Y2K-inspired, and has a strong colour theme. Essentially, it’ s more than just playing music at a club or venue, it’ s about crafting an experience that’ s unique and works well for your audience.
In terms of curation, I’ ve always been someone who has very specific tastes. I find myself gravitating towards the non-generic, never-done-before stuff more often than not. When I curated Boiler Room in Mumbai, I wanted to put together a lineup that showcased an equal mix of Indian and Western sounds.
I remember removing myself as the headliner and letting Bamboy close the night out, because I really wanted that sound to shine through- every step had thought behind it. I have a lot more lined up in terms of curation, and I can’ t wait to bring it to life for everyone to experience!
You’ ve always blended cultures and genres fearlessly. Is there a sound or scene you’ re currently obsessed with that we might hear in your upcoming music?
Currently, there’ s no specific culture or sound that I’ m obsessed with, but I’ ve been getting back to producing a lot more Electronic music. That sound is definitely something you can expect a lot of from me this year.
Who would be your absolute dream collaboration right now— Indian or global? This would definitely be Skrillex, I think that’ s the ultimate goal right now.
