from the publisher Choices That Change Our Very Existence As I grow older, my perspective on life is ever evolving. In the craziness of day-to-day activities, many of us grow increasingly aware of what seems to resemble the world spinning like a top, wanting to put one foot on the ground to stop the vertigo. As I ponder, in an attempt to slow down, I think about what matters most in my life. I have found that it is not how we come into this world, what family we are born into, what our status in society is, or even how we leave it. It is about what we do while we are here that makes the real difference. As I sit back, I think about that…yes! It really is what we do while we are here! It doesn’t matter how much money we have, or how big our house is, or even the material things that we own. What really matters while we are here is how kind we are, how we treat others, and how we see ourselves. Although, for those of you who know me, this was not an “ah-ha!” moment, but it does give some validation that I am on the right path. Life is about making the world a better place while having the privilege of living in it. It is important to be aware of what we are doing, how we are treating others, and, while we are here, how we are making a difference. Change: to make or become different. The world is a beautiful place, and every day we have the opportunity to touch someone’s life in a positive way. Yet, every single day, there are so many missed opportunities. The choices that we make and the attitudes that we exhibit touch people in ways that we may not even be aware. Be mindful to the vibes that you give, always stay in a place where you work from your heart, and make your intentions are pure. Being in that place is where real change happens. From the moment we wake, we are making choices; choices that change our very existence. We choose what time to get up, what to wear, what to eat, what time to leave the house; but most importantly, we choose our attitude. It is our attitude that is the single most powerful thought that we own. So choose it well. When people are having a bad day, as we all do, don’t take it personally.
