I have a tattoo that I desperately would
like to get rid of, but I have heard
treatments are very limited in results. Is
there anything that can really work?
One in four people have tattoo regret. As our body changes and what is
important to us changes, so does what we wear as a badge on our skin.
For others, it is a matter of being able to get a job where it would not be
appropriate professionally. Regardless of the reason, I hope to educate you into
your options.
The tattoo market has been an area of our field that
I have avoided due to so many limitations as well as
unimpressive results. However, there was just a recent
breakthrough that has changed the field forever, and
exceed what we thought possible. Its name is Enlighten.
The enlighten is first—and only—FDA approved dual
wavelength laser system for tattoo removal. The two
wavelengths provide the most effective treatment
available, which also means better clearance of the
tattoo with faster and fewer treatments needed.
Tattoos that were once difficult to treat in the past with
older technology now have a much higher chance of
removal or lightening with the enlighten.
Enlighten also has the highest peak power of any
device, and can treat all skin types and colors. The
limitations of other lasers, including the picosure,
include: they are not safe for all skin types, they don’t
get colors or black effectively, they don’t have pico
technology or worse—only have pico technology, they
can go too superficial which can have serious side
effects, or take an average of ten to twenty treatments.
If you have already had your tattoo worked on, and
plateaued with other technologies, only Enlighten
can move you past the stagnation because of its dual

wavelength, dual pulse width, and high peak power.
Nothing comes even close. We have never seen
anything work like this, and that is why it deserved
our attention. Now I stand behind this, and only one
device is currently in the state of Michigan. It is the
future of tattoo removal and an exciting breakthrough
for anyone who wishes to remove their tattoo.
Typically, a person will receive three to six treatments,
however, the FDA does not regulate tattoo ink, so the
number of treatments depends on the tatt
