Scottish Half Marathon

Info The Scottish Half Marathon is the newest
event on the UK’s running calendar. The route is
described as ‘flat and rapid’, ideal if you’re looking
to set a personal best. The run will take you
along the magnificent East Lothian Golf Coast
before finisning the final furlong at Musselburgh
Racecourse, Scotland’s oldest racecourse.

by grant-making breast cancer charity, Walk the
Walk! On Saturday 7th June 2014, thousands of
women and men wearing brightly decorated bras
will power walk through the streets of Edinburgh
at midnight to raise money and awareness for
breast cancer. Places are still available for two
of the event’s four walking challenges - the New
Moon (6.55 miles) and the Half Moon (13.1 miles).
Get fit, and have fun!

your way through the course and help us say
‘Cancer, we’re coming to get you!’ Set in the
amazing grounds of this Royal Park in the centre of
Edinbugh, the route starts and finishes on the field
adjacent to Holyrood Palace around Arthur’s Seat,
taking in beautiful views across Edinburgh. Bring
your family and friends to take part in the family
activities happening all day as they cheer you on.
Info This cycling challenge is being organised in
memory of an amazing teenager, Paul Davies
who was diagnosed with cancer at just 14. After
losing is fight with the disease in July 2010, his
family and friends began to fundraise to help raise
money for charities close to Paul’s heart. The
route starts and end at Musselburgh Racecourse
and cyclists are being asked to wear odd socks
and collect money in socks in memory of Paul
who was known for this quirk!

Info Described as the fun, friendly, foamy 10k,
the RoadBlock Run aims to raise money for
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. The emphasis
is on having fun - you can run as an individual
or grab two friends or colleagues and run as a
team. The run has more than 10 obstacles
designed to get you sliding, climbing, scrambling,
crawling and laughing, with inflatables, lorries,
tunnels, and a bootcamp!
