Rhode Island Monthly’ s Partner-Related Events and Promotions
Johnson & Wales University celebrated its first Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics graduates who recently completed the sixteen-month program. The cohort gained advanced skills in medical nutrition therapy, culinary nutrition and evidence-based practice, preparing them to meet the growing demand for skilled, credentialed dietitians nationwide.
One Neighborhood Builders held a groundbreaking to celebrate the start of construction on phase one of its Center City Apartments affordable housing development in East Providence. The development features a collaboration and social service partnership with Crossroads Rhode Island, Family Service of Rhode Island and Foster Forward, which will all provide supportive services to residents of the 144 housing units.

In January, the Rhode Island Foundation awarded $ 636,000 in grants to twenty-six animal welfare groups in Rhode Island. The funds were raised by Rhode Island Foundation donors, who have established special funds for the humane treatment of animals that allow the foundation to support animal welfare nonprofits.
Brown University Health announced the opening of the Brown University Health Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic at 236 Country Rd., Barrington. The new clinic serves patients eighteen months old and older. Brown Health Urgent Care offers treatment for a variety of medical needs, from colds and flu to animal bites and urinary tract infections. Patients can also obtain X-rays, flu and tetanus shots, COVID testing and sports physicals.
