The name Track 15 is a nod to the building’ s origins as a train station, built in 1898. The station was the center of Rhode Island’ s machinery, textile and jewelry industries, operating fourteen intercity rail lines before closing in 1986. The food hall pays homage to the proverbial“ fifteenth rail” that brings together like-minded eateries under one roof. The 18,000-squarefoot dining experience houses seven tenants, including a seafood and raw bar concept from Dune Brothers; regional Mexican cuisine from the Meza family at Dolores; burgers and more from There, There; and two Italian concepts from Kevin O’ Donnell, chef and owner of Giusto and co-owner of Mother Pizzeria in Newport. Little Chaska is an Indian restaurant from Sanjiv and Vandana Dhar, and chef Alp Gumuscu and Tarci-Lee Galarza’ s Tolia focuses on Anatolia’ s regional cuisine.
ON THE MENU: Dolores: Tacos filled with meats like ribeye or pork Árabe, as well as enchiladas with chicken and mole poblano a chicken tinga poblana burrito and cinnamon-sugar dusted churros. Dune Brothers: The iconic seafood duo— clam cakes and chowder— plus buttery lobster rolls and the Dune platter
with oysters, littlenecks, Jonah crab claws, crudo, ceviche and squid salad. Giusto: Fresh pastas include gnocchi with black truffle and Parmesan and rigatoni with Hopkins Southdowns farm lamb ragu, fava beans and smoky harissa. Little Chaska: Pair some samosas with the chicken tikka masala or tuck into a kathi roll wrap, whole-wheat bread grilled and stuffed with lamb or chicken kabob. Or stick with the classic saag paneer, housemade soft cheese served with spinach. Mother Pizzeria: Choose from woodfired sourdough pizzas and salads, plus the special Mother’ s seasonal housemade gelatos. There, There: Hefty burgers and sandwiches like the Dream Burger with two patties, cheese, patty sauce, onion jam and shredduce( shredded lettuce) on a griddled sesame bun, or the T. T. Bird with buttermilk fried chicken, sweet mustard and mayo. The CNY salt potatoes, drizzled with pepperoncini butter and dusted with green onion, are a worthy side dish. Tolia: Hummus and whipped feta, shawarma, falafel and roasted chicken and lamb kebabs from Hopkins Southdowns farm grilled on the spitfire rotisserie.
