AAMD Presents Family Homestead with Donation from Charity Auction
Through the generosity of our members who attended last December ' s Charity Auction and our Apartments Giving Back program, we were able to present Family Homestead( represented by Jenny Jorgenson, who serves on the Board of Directors for Family Homestead) with a check for $ 37,172!.

Opportunities to give back to charities like Family Homestead is only made possible through the generosity of AAMD Members. Thank you to all of the attendees and donors, as well as the support of sponsors like Real Floors for being a part of decades of charity auctions and other events like Spring Clean, which is coming up on May 30!
Since 2020, AAMD Has donated over $ 300,000 to Charitable Organizations in Colorado through the Apartments Giving Back Program.
Homelessness is a growing crisis, and families with children are among the hardest hit. In the Denver metro area, 23 % of the homeless population consists of families, and Colorado saw a staggering 134 % increase in homeless families in 2024. Nationwide, family homelessness has risen by 39 % since 2023.
The impact on children is devastating— homeless kids are twice as likely to experience poor health and hunger, and four times as likely to suffer developmental delays. Family HomeStead is working to change that by providing discrete, autonomous housing for homeless families with required client participation to address the issues that caused homlessness. Their programs have made a real difference: in 2024, 91 % of families who completed the program secured stable housing, and 93 % had the income to sustain it.
