PRESIDENT’ S MESSAGE

The 2025 Bench Bar Conference took place on March 7th and it was a huge success! The event brought together over 500 judges, lawyers, and legal professionals for an enriching and engaging day of seminars, discussions, and networking. The conference truly showcased the collaboration within our legal community and it was remarkable to see the outcome.
The conference sessions were full of insightful discussions that tackled timely and relevant topics in the legal world. From the changes to the civil rules to practical advice on courtroom strategies, the presentations sparked meaningful dialogue and allowed us all to learn from one another ' s experiences.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came during our lunch presentation.
Ron White, the two-time National Memory Champion, captivated the room with his humor and extraordinary talent for memorizing information. As part of his presentation, Ron memorized the names of approximately 50 people in the room— an impressive feat that not only left us in awe but also reminded us of the incredible power of the human mind. His talk on memory techniques and mental discipline was both entertaining and educational, and I know many of us left the session with new tools to improve our own focus and cognitive abilities.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the cochairs of the 2025 Bench Bar Conference, Amelia Jadoo and Kemar Thomas. Their hard work, dedication, and leadership were pivotal in making this event such a success. Please take a moment to thank Amelia and Kemar next time you see them.
Additionally, I would like to recognize a group of individuals who rarely get the praise that they deserve: Carla, Kathy, Jessica, Derek, Jeanne, Michelle, Nicole, Dee, and Sydney. THANK YOU for all of the time, effort, and talent that you pour into
Bench Bar, our other events, and this great organization. Our bar association would not be what it is today without each and every one of you.
