Jones Foster is pleased to announce that attorneys Genny Bernstein and Alexander L. Brams were elevated to shareholders at the annual Officers’ meeting. Genny Bernstein, a member of the Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates practice group, is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law attorney. She focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, guardianships, special needs trusts, veteran benefits, and long-term care Medicaid. She is admitted to practice in the U. S. Supreme Court and Florida state courts and is an Accredited Attorney for claims, preparation, presentation, and prosecution with the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Alex Brams is a member of the firm’ s Trust & Estate Litigation team and focuses his practice in the areas of probate, trust, guardianship, and fiduciary litigation, as well as commercial litigation, throughout Florida’ s state and federal courts. He represents fiduciaries and individuals in all probate, trust, and guardianship settings, including will and trust contests, breach of trust actions, personal representative and trustee removal and accounting actions, will and trust reformation and modification proceedings, contested guardianships, exploitation, and tortious interference litigation. He also represents personal representatives, trustees, courtappointed administrators, beneficiaries, and creditors in all facets of probate, trust, and guardianship administration.

Capping off a year of expansion, the shareholders of Lewis, Longman & Walker, P. A. have unanimously elected Tara Duhy as the firm’ s next president. Duhy has earned a number of awards for her leadership and expertise in land use, environmental, and water law. Duhy has served on the firm ' s Executive Committee and managed the West Palm Beach office for nine years, she also chairs the firm’ s land use and development practice groups. As part of her statewide land use, natural resource and water law practice, Duhy advises clients through every stage of permitting, government coordination and enforcement related to development.
