PRESIDENT’ S MESSAGE
Dear ASCE Members,
Spring is officially here— birds are back, snowbanks are( mostly) gone, and construction season is starting to wake up from its long winter nap. Bring on the warmer weather!
First up: a quick reminder that applications for the S. Russell Stearns Scholarship are due April 30th! If you or someone you know is eligible, make sure to get those materials submitted to newhampshire. asce @ gmail. com ASAP. It’ s a great opportunity to support the next generation of engineers, and we don’ t want anyone to miss out.
Save the date! The ASCE-NH Annual Meeting is happening on Wednesday, May 28th, from 5:00 to 8:30 PM at The Derryfield in Manchester. It’ s a great chance to connect with fellow members, reflect on the past year, and get a glimpse of what’ s ahead for the section. There’ ll be dinner and networking, plus we’ ll be recognizing some of the great work happening in our community. Whether you’ ve been with us for years or are just getting involved, we’ d love to have you join us.
Looking ahead, we’ re gearing up for NH Construction Career Days on September 25th and 26th. This is a fantastic event aimed at getting high school students excited about careers in construction and engineering. If your company is interested in exhibiting, we’ d love to have your support— these hands-on experiences make a huge impact and can help inspire future professionals in our field.
I’ ll leave you with a fitting quote from Bambi:“ Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the spring.” Whether that’ s because of the warmer weather, the sunshine, or just the excitement of a new season, I hope you’ re feeling inspired and ready for whatever’ s next.
Michael Eno President, ASCE-NH
