Help for Ukraine
Art Castillo gallery in Plaza Marina Nerja have in stock a limited-edition sculpture which will be sold from their showroom with a € 20 donation from each sale going to the Ukranian refugees in Nerja fund . Reduced from € 259 to € 195 the sculpture entitled the ‘ Dove of Peace ’ is from Angeles Anglada and is exclusive to Art Castillo here in Nerja .
The sculpture ( pictured ) will come with added ribbons in the colours of the Ukranian flag for a limited period promotion . In addition a raffle was held with one of the sculptures as the prize . For further details see their advertisement on page 27 .
41 Club back on track !
After a stop start couple of years due to the pandemic , 41 Club Nerja is finally feeling that things are back to normal . Club Chairman Peter MacLeod has presided over four well attended meetings already this year and is now looking forward to an ongoing programme of meetings and lunches during the year ahead . Peter is delighted to be able to say that we are now “ Back on track at last !”.

St George ’ s Day
Royal British Legion Nerja are holding a St George ’ s day event at the Chapel Bar , Calle Jaen , Nerja , on April 23 at 2pm . A fun afternoon with games , food and

Lux Mundi Coffee
On Friday February 25 , Lux Mundi Torre del Mar celebrated the Day of Andalucía with a special coffee morning , with a touch of Spain and a touch of Britain . The morning was a great success with many International friends coming
to enjoy the strawberry clotted cream teas and browse through the boutique and books . Lux Mundi would like to thank all the friends who attended , who were very generous and the sum of € 350 was raised which will help them to continue helping others .
And in collaboration with the Orthodox Ukrainian Church , Lux Mundi Torre del Mar is a collecting point for help to Ukrainia . Please only bring the items that are on the list below as these are the most necessary items and please make sure the items are clean and check that the medicines are within the due date .

Torrox Vista Petanca
Group
Our two Petanca groups have now amalgamated . The new club is called Torrox Vista Petanca Club . If you ’ ve ever thought about playing Petanca then do come along and have a go ! We are a friendly group and we play on Monday , Tuesday , Thursday and Friday mornings on the Petanca pistes very near El Pino camping site , starting at 10.30 . We play three games with coffee after the second
game . The new club recently ran its first competition , Fox and Hounds . 21 members took part ( the maximum number for that particular competition ) Everyone played nine games . The winner was Chris Hudd ( pictured above ) with eight wins and + 25 points . Ladies runner up was Rose Dawes with seven wins and + 35 points . Men ’ s runner up was Mike Parsons with eight wins and + 24 points . Congratulations to them and thanks to everyone who took part . Thanks must also go to Keith Bourne and Martin Cook for organising the competition , buying a new trophy and the prizes . Also , thanks to Paul Quinn our new Social Secretary who organised a lovely meal for after the competition .
