Bright and cheery Hawaiian shirts were pulled out from closets in the dead of winter for the Misquamicut Business Association ’ s Aloha Luau , held at the Windjammer Surf Bar . The event raised $ 14,000 through ticket sales , raffles and a silent auction for beach-area events and cleanup for the surf and sand along Misquamicut Beach . – GABRIELLA BORETTI
