Hands on Maintenance Education Series

The HOME Room is back with plumbing , electrical , HVAC , interior / exterior and appliance repair courses . Basic Door Repair , Smart Switches & Thermostats , Measuring 101 and Aquatherm have all been added to round out the schedule . These classes are in-person and allow for hands-on training while observing social distancing requirements . Class sizes are limited .

HVAC : Heating Types & Preventative Maintenance

Apartment communities have four main types of heating : electric baseboard heating , electric furnace heating , gas furnace heating and hydronic heating . This course contains a little general science , a little mechanical reasoning , and a good dose of practical application to help you tackle the most common issues related to each heating system .

Aquatherm Maintenance & Repair

We will explain what a First Company Aquatherm HVAC is and how it works . We will review the most popular models used in the Colorado market and cover service , maintenance and how to find replacement parts .

The HOME Room is nothing like a typical classroom environment . Yes , there are tables , chairs and a screen for a PowerPoint , but this space offers flexibility and encourages students to get up , move around and dive into the equipment they have at their

fingertips .

Certified Pool Operator ( CPO )

Keeping your pool , sauna or spa in top working condition ensures the longevity of your asset and the safety of your residents . By attending this course and becoming a Certified Pool Operator ® ( CPO ) the persons responsible for maintaining your pool , sauna or spa will have a better understanding of the laws and basic upkeep techniques of pool and spa operations . More than 300 Maintenance Professionals have been certified virtually since April 2020 .

The CPO certification course requires participation in the two-day certification program taught by a certified CPO instructor and will provide individuals with the basic knowledge , techniques , and skills of pool and spa operations and maintenance . The CPO certification program requires a passing score in the open-book written examination . The CPO certification is valid for five years .
