favorite to win ; however Jr . rose to the occasion beating Dad by eight points . The drive back to Arkansas was a long one for Eldon , who gave Jackson the silent treatment .
The Expert class featured three riders . Chris Shellenberger had a 49 point day , a tip of the helmet to Chris for assisting the novice riders around the loop and through the sections . Cort Mizell finished 2nd with 41 points in only his 2nd event in the Expert class . Shackelford rounded out the class with 16 points and the win .
Following the event Kirk Mayfield grilled hot dogs for all riders and spectators to enjoy during the post ride meeting .
NEOTT is looking forward to the official Grand Opening event the weekend of April 24-25 at Tulsa Mountain Trials . Saturday will kick off the 1st ever - Mike McCabe King of Throne - Twin Shock event ; three loops with eight sections . Sunday will feature a morning and afternoon session with a post ride meal to follow . Limited free primitive camping is available on a first come first serve basis .
