Since 1973 , The Texas State Championship Enduro Circuit ( TSCEC ) has been the premiere enduro racing series for the Lone Star State , hosting off-road events throughout TX , OK , CO , and LA . Like many , this grass-roots organization is largely volunteer based , depending on the efforts of its own community to oversee the technical challenges of planning events while maintaining the spirit of familyfriendly competition .
In 2021 Bryan and Tasha Creech , and Cade and Kim Emerson were elected to the roles of the Scoring Team . WinPic Photography has had the privilege of photographing TSCEC events and recently got a chance to chat with the group about the roles they play in making sure each event runs smoothly .
WINPIC PHOTOGRAPHY : Tell us a bit about yourselves . What does life look like outside of TSCEC ?
BRYAN AND TASHA CREECH :
We have three kids - Wyatt ( 11 ) competes in the 16 and under small wheel class . Braylan ( 9 ) rides 65 minis , and Hattie ( 4 ) is not riding ( yet )! We are dryland cotton farmers and live in Lenorah , TX !
CADE AND KIM EMERSON :
Cade , grew up in Abilene , TX , where he started a career in construction . Now he runs residential development in Fredericksburg , TX called Boot Ranch . We have three boys . Cooper ( 12 ) races 16 and under small wheel , Ty ( 9 ) rides super short and Parker ( 4 ) rides the 6 and under mini class .
WP : Tasha and Kim - It sounds like you ’ ve got your hands full with all of those kiddos running around . What ’ s it like being a moto mom ? How has racing motorcycles affected the lives of your kids ?
TASHA : Our kids have gained so many new friendships that they are lucky to have . Thankfully they really don ’ t miss out on anything from school , they get to leave early some Fridays which they love . I believe it has only enhanced their lives !
KIM : It ’ s more than just dirt bikes . They put the iPads down and PLAY ! They build forts , climb mountains and explore . It ’ s definitely being part of something bigger .
WP : What is the role of the Scoring Team and how does it support the TSCEC organization ?
BTC : The Scoring Team registers the riders for all TSCEC races and scores them ! We also keep up with year end points for the season !
