solid got a bunch of sand and crud in there and it wouldn ' t move at all . Luckily I had some tools on me because I had to take the throttle assembly apart , fix it put it back together , so everybody I passed just passed me right back . I ended up having to fix my throttle two more times because it just kept jamming . I ’ m not sure why . I pretty much just took one step forward and two steps back the whole race ; it was super frustrating . On lap three , I never really made much progress ; I was just too far behind and the results say i ended up finishing 17th . It definitely wasn ' t the best day .
OTP : I guess this is a rough event to judge the the Rieju , but do you feel that the bike was fully capable of completing the event without any issues if you if you hadn ' t have high sided ?
QUINN : Yeah , the bike performed awesome ; it runs really good and crisp and we ' re even at a little bit of elevation up there like 4,000 feet or so . I didn ' t even have to change anything or jet anything it just ran like a top . Handlebars and throttle assemblies , that stuff happens , they break ; it ' s nothing related directly to the bike .
When i bent my handlebars , I broke my fan switch off so I had no fan the whole race ; that ' s a pretty key part for a hard enduro . Between the bike and the Evans Coolant we were running , it didn ' t even overheat even without a fan so I was really stoked on that . That ' s just another testament to how how well these things run . It was definitely capable and it did well .
OTP : This is the same bike you ran in the SEER race a few weeks ago ; did you change anything from that race , such as gearing ?
QUINN : no not really ; i ' ve been running the same gearing , 13:49 i believe . no major changes ; it ’ s running around good on the east
