As a current Board member seeking re-election for the second time to the Board of Directors , it is my hope that the members will give me the opportunity once again to continue to serve and give back to the legal community that I have grown up in . Palm Beach County has one of the top bar associations in the state , and I would like to continue my service in making it even better . The best way I believe I am able to contribute is to use all the knowledge I have gained from being on various committees and boards , to help improve the programs we have as well as create new ones .
Throughout my years working on different committees and associations , such as past YLS President and past PB Co . FAWL President , I have focused my attention on programming and improving membership benefits . The Palm Beach County Bar offers members a wide variety of benefits from community service opportunities , CLEs , health programmings such as yoga and 5ks , discounts on products and services , and networking events . Unfortunately , with Covid-19 we , along with everyone else , have been forced to make most of our programming virtual , but we continue to try to innovate and think of new and enticing ways to increase the “ value add ” of membership . It is my hope , that given the opportunity to continue to serve on the Board of Directors , I can continue to help improve and innovate the programs and benefits offered at the Bar in such a way that truly adds tangible value to your membership .

Jean Marie Middleton *

Community service is Jean Marie ’ s passion !
During the past 3 years , Jean Marie has served our Bar Association faithfully , diligently , and enthusiastically as a Director . She has represented our bar association in a most favorable light as she continues to actively participate and serve as Chair and / or Co-Chair of various bar committees such as Committee for Diversity & Inclusion , Bench Bar , and the Judicial Relations Committee .
Jean Marie also has served in leadership roles in the Craig S . Barnard Inn of Courts and the F . Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association and continues to be an active member .
In addition to her commitment to serving Palm Beach County , she is also active in the Florida Bar serving as Past Chair of the Professional Ethics Committee ; active member of the Florida Bar Committee for Diversity and Inclusion ; active member of the Judicial Nominations Procedures Committee and an active member of the Education Law Committee .
Jean Marie is very passionate as it relates to serving as a mentor to both law students and high school students who are aspiring to embark on a legal career . She has served as a Magistrate Judge for Palm Beach County Youth Court for the past 18 years . She also serves as an advisor to the Law Magnet Program at Palm Beach Lakes Sr . High School .
