Board Member of the Month Hello readers of the “The New Hampshire Civil Engineer”! My name is Nick Golon and I serve as Treasurer for the ASCE-NH Section, with this year marking my 7 th consecutive year serving on the Board. I have truly enjoyed my time on the Board as it has provided me so many fantastic opportunities, memories and friends! I have had the honor to represent our section and the great State of New Hampshire at events such as the ASCE legislative fly-in to speak to our elected officials on matters most important to us as Civil Engineers, and the ASCE National Convention to mix and mingle with an incredibly diverse cross section of leaders from across our industry. Participation in ASCE has helped me find ways to give back to our profession. Helping our potential future engineers find their way by volunteering at the New England Regional Student Steel Bridge Competition, NH Construction Career Days, and many other school career days and programs that have all been such a gratifying experience. My level of involvement with ASCE is thanks in part to my employer, TFMoran, who understands the importance of being involved in our communities and professional societies, for which I am grateful. I have spent the last 15-years with TFMoran and currently serve as a Senior Project Manager and Licensed Professional out of their Bedford Office. At TFMoran I have the privilege to work with a tremendous group of people both in my office and through a wide-ranging group of clients, who we help guide through the seemingly endless hurdles associated with land development. I am very fortunate to work alongside such a hardworking and intelligent group. ASCE Global Engineering Conference in Panama ASCE Legislative Fly-In NH Construction Career Days I cannot thank my family enough for allowing me to spend so much time on my various endeavors. I am blessed to have such a loving and supportive family to share my successes and also help keep me grounded (to the best of their ability). When not out and about in the community I can be found with Lee, Elise, Adeline, Cassian and my Mom Betsey at our 17 th Century Home in Bedford, where we stay busy with gardening, family soccer games, and stories by the fire.
