- Oops.
Neglecting the problem is easier than facing it.
we don't stop polluting our oceans, our children
might not have the same access to the water we do
nowadays. By your results, it seems like you don't
really care about humanity, water or wildlife. If a
baby turtle stuck in a plastic bag doesn't tear your
heart apart, I don't know what will. The hardest part
about changing is starting. So start with the least
1. Stop Buying Plastic Bottles
It is very likely that you have a lot of plastic bottles at
home, just sitting in your room or your fridge, and
they'll probably just be thrown away or lost. But
that's fine, right? You'll just buy new ones whenever
you go to a restaurant or the supermarket. NO!
Buying plastic bottle after bottle is not fine at all!
They never disintegrate and will most likely end up in
the oceans. So please, the next time you're thirsty,
give metal or thermal bottles a chance.
you can do as a responsible citizen and human
being: Read about environmental issues and plastic
waste. Maybe then, you will realize how important it
is to preserve our resources and how limited they
are. Not standing up for what's wrong is
contributing to the problem.
If you scored 3-5 points
- You're getting there.
You're half way there. Still got a lot to learn, but
2. Recycle
You might not realize it but there's plastic in almost
everything you buy. From shampoo bottles to tooth
brushes, plastic composes most of our daily products.
It is hard to to get rid of most of them as there aren't
any alternative solutions for them - yet. But don't
overthink it too much, you can always recycle. Only 9
percent of the plastic produced between 1950 and
2015 was recycled. Help humanity raise that number.
Don't dispose. Recycle.
you're definitely doing better than many people. At
least you know plastic pollution is an alarming and
increasing issue that needs to be stopped as fast
as possible. Humans created the problem, so it's up
to us to end it. Try learning a little bit more about
the topic and then you'll be good to go. Our future
depends on all of us, and we should spread the
awareness. Talk to to those who don't have a clue
where to start, and make sure you don't lose your
interest in important environmental topics like this,
the Earth needs you!
If you scored 6-8 points
- Way to go!
Keep it up, the world says "thanks". People like you
are the ones responsible for the small positive
impact we have on our environment. You know
everything there is to know about plastic pollution
and the terrible consequences it has on our oceans
and animals. Don't lose hope; if more people join
the cause we'll be able to reverse the critical
situation we find ourselves in. Fight for what you
believe in, that way you'll know you did everything
you could to save our home, Earth.
3. Change your ways
Instead of bringing your groceries home in many
plastic bags, use your own carryall shopping bags.
Avoid using plastic cups and plates, as well as
straws. Make your own fresh juice instead of buying
plastic juice boxes. Switch your disposable razor for
one with replaceable blades. Buy laundry detergent in
paper boxes, not plastic containers. I could go on
forever, but I think you get the message. There's so
much you can do. So why are you waiting to start?
However, denial will cost you a lot in the future. If
How can you help at home?
