YOUNGER MEMBER CORNER
UNH PANEL DISCUSSION
On April 11 th , the YMG teamed up with the UNH student
chapter to host a young engineer panel discusion and
networking night. Kyle Henshaw, UNH Student Chapter President and
event moderator, led the students and panel in various disucssions about
interships, entry level positions, life after college and networking
opportunities.
Special thanks to our panelists:
Meli Dube (NHDOT)
Tim Dunn (NHDOT)
Matt Bradley
Kevin Garvey (CDM Smith),
Emily Frazzoni (Jewett Construction)
Jason Peddle (SPS New England)
Following the discussions, the students joined industry professionals in
the Kingsbury Hall lobby for pizza and a networking hour. The event was
well receieved by the students, with a suggestion to host it in the fall next
year in order to draw a larger crowd. Thank you to all those who
attended and helped to make this event successful. The ASCE-NH YMG is
looking forward to teaming up with UNH to host more events next year!
HELP US GROW
As spring is approaching and everything is starting to grow, it’s a great time for us to start expanding our
network as well, but we need your help. Managers, please encourgae your collegues to join our group and
become more involved with ASCE. The Younger Member group is a transition group bewtween college graduates and industry
professionals. It is a laid back way to meet new people and start growing a network early on. With students graduating in May and
starting their entry-level positions, this
is a perfect time to send them our way!
This year is shaping up to be a fun one,
with some new events and new faces,
you won’t want to miss out! Thank you
in advance for your support and for
spreading the word.
