of Meth found in Golf Cart Batteries in Baldwin County , AL

Baldwin County , Alabama – Hidden in hollowed battery cases , a copious 32 bundles with more than 115 pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine was seized in a traffic stop on Interstate 10 on Wednesday , February 28 . The Sheriff ’ s Office along with their Special Operation Unit arrested Donald Scott Sells , 43 , of Connell , Washington , and his 15-year-old son .
A total of eight golf cart battery cases containing contraband , with a street value of $ 3 million dollars , were confiscated .
Sells was said to be hauling a flatbed trailer with two golf carts on it and was reportedly making their way from Texas to Florida passing through eastbound , at the 56-mile marker , three miles east of the Wilcox Road Exit of Interstate 10 .
The said drugs were found in golf cart battery compartments under the seats after Sells agreed to the search warrant issued thereof . On trial , both parties declared conflicting statements which added to the suspicion of the case .
Now behind bars , the suspect is faced with a case of drug trafficking charges and is in jail on a $ 300,000 bond . His son is under the custody of Baldwin County Juvenile Detention Center charged with a second-degree possession of Marijuana . among Americans .
Baldwin County has garnered a good name in its operation of drug busts including similar events which led to a successful meth bust earlier this month . Meth , which is popularly known by its street names ice or glass , is now and still is gaining a wide scale proliferation
In a recent survey from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ) released new statistics from 2015 in America which shows that 3,700 died from Meth overdoses last 2014 and more than 4,500 reported deaths last 2015 . That is an increase of 30 %.
