The Unseen

It is invisible, disastrous, but yet beauteous

It surrounds us at every turn, crevice, and hole

It treads the boundary between happiness and total ruination

It can turn a calm day into a certain ‘darkness’ only found in the deepest of all abysses

The power it wields is enough to overcome any obstacle

It can be cool, warm, chilly, or comforting

Any moment can be filled with infinite elation

And that same moment can disappear in a heart beat

Without caution it can be the instant your life meets its end

Then it’s over in the blink of an eye

Your slayer’s natural environment is nature itself

It has no control

It has no master, no feelings, no warnings

It slips through your fingers and it is weightless upon your shoulders

It blows over you with ease and has no conscience

It has no regrets and there is no escape

Its wrath is unmatched and notorious for its unpredictability

It carries itself and depends on no one else

It can be as silent as the grass growing and as abrupt the screech of your tires attempting to save you from a crash

IT is the invisible force that pushes you back when you’re rushing

And IT is the very alien you wish to see at night when the trees ruffle mysteriously

IT cannot be caught

IT is untamable and is best left alone

IT... is the wind
