The Davis Love III-designed course at Windermere opened in 2000 to rave reviews. Faced with severe terrain, Love III created a
playable golf course by ensuring the course fit naturally with the land and the surrounding environment. The 6,805-yard, par-71
course puts an emphasis on strategy and playability and provides golfers with shot variety, risk-reward options and spectacular
long-range vistas from almost every hole.
Faced with similar challenges, Arthur Hills also let the natural terrain dictate the 6,605-yard, Par-72 golf course at Olde Atlanta. The
end result is a picturesque and challenging course that rambles through the north Georgia foothills, winds around three sparkling
lakes and incorporates numerous elevation changes for a truly memorable round.
The new Yamaha carts with the Visage GPS technology are also very popular with golfers at both clubs as the pace of play has been
greatly improved. When you are not on the course, both clubs offer excellent practice facilities and private and group lessons from
the professional golf staff. Windermere features a driving range and a putting green while Olde Atlanta offers a three-tiered grass
driving range, two putting greens, a practice sand bunker and a 60-yard chipping and pitching area.
Windermere and Olde Atlanta are both known for their golf courses, but they each offer great dining options and active
social calendars. There are also a number of golf tournaments held throughout the year for men and women as well as multiple
