Meet “The Chamber” You have probably seen our Treasurer/Secretary around town, she has become an integral part of our community in a hurry! Hailing from Sellersburg, Indiana, this Ball State grad has made a big impact in a short time. Majoring in Urban Planning and City Development in Muncie, Alexandria Waggoner has a vision for Scott County that includes the county being in the top ten counties to live in by the year 2025! Although her “day job” as the Executive Director of the Area Planning Commission keeps her busy, she still manages to be involved with the local Main Street initiative to infuse our downtown area with renewed vigor. With her background in Economic Development and a strong drive, this successful lady is fast becoming a catalyst of growth in Scott County. When she gets a break from work, Alexandria enjoys watching Big Bang Theory and her favorite movie is anything Pixar. Although married, she does not have children…yet. If you want to take this upand-coming business lady to lunch to pick her brain, take her to a good Chinese restaurant or treat her to ice cream at Chiller’s and she’ll be happy. Her favorite season is Fall and she particularly enjoys vacationing in urban cities such as: Boston, Nashville, Denver, or Seattle. She collects cigar boxes and her hobby is Photography, which is apropos to her favorite quote: “Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common. Celebrate it everyday.” What better way to showcase that than photography?!
