Meet “The Chamber”
You have probably seen
our Treasurer/Secretary
around town, she has become an integral part of our
community in a hurry! Hailing from Sellersburg, Indiana, this Ball State grad has
made a big impact in a short
time. Majoring in Urban Planning and City Development in Muncie, Alexandria Waggoner has a vision
for Scott County that includes the county being in the
top ten counties to live in by the year 2025! Although
her “day job” as the Executive Director of the Area
Planning Commission keeps her busy, she still manages to be involved with the local Main Street initiative to infuse our downtown area with renewed vigor.
With her background in Economic Development and
a strong drive, this successful lady is fast becoming a
catalyst of growth in Scott County.

NOTWORTHY NEWS:
Please make sure to visit our website,
www.scottchamber.org for a listing of updated Events including the Regional County Expo coming August 27th.
When she gets a break from work, Alexandria
enjoys watching Big Bang Theory and her favorite
movie is anything Pixar. Although married, she does
not have children…yet. If you want to take this upand-coming business lady to lunch to pick her brain,
take her to a good Chinese restaurant or treat her to
ice cream at Chiller’s and she’ll be happy. Her favorite season is Fall and she particularly enjoys vacationing in urban cities such as: Boston, Nashville,
Denver, or Seattle. She collects cigar boxes and her
hobby is Photography, which is apropos to her favorite quote: “Diversity is the one true thing we all have
in common. Celebrate it everyday.” What better way
to showcase that than photography?!
A special “Thanks” goes out to the Prosecutor's Office and Jason Mount for his generous donation to our
Character Counts program.
Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Keith Colbert,
accepts BizCamp sponsorships from Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director, Jaime Toppe, and Scottsburg Clerk-Treasurer, Jan Hardy.
Thank you for your generous donations!
