Boudrias, 76, of Railroad Street Lancaster, and longtime resident of Groveton, died peacefully at his home on April 22, 2016. Louis was born in Padoue, Canada, to Urgel and Adrienne Boudrias in 1939. He, along with his family, moved from La Redemption to Groveton in 1951. After graduating from Groveton High School, Louis served in the United States Army reserve. He worked at the paper mill in town and was most widely known as the “belt man.” Louis also served the mill as an officer in the local union. He retired from Wausau Papers in 1998 after 36 years of service. Louis enjoyed life in many ways, the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and snowmobiling. He loved woodworking and was a real problem solver. He enjoyed canoe trips up the Allagash waterways and stays along the Maine coast. He and his wife, Heather would often go for rides in the countryside. Louis was an avid fan of Groveton Eagle Basketball. He enjoyed auto racing whether it was NASCAR or Riverside Speedway. Louis loved his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ and served in his local church for a number of years. He also loved his family. He was predeceased by his late wife, Heather, to whom he was married for over 35 years. Louis is survived by his son, Mark Boudrias, his daughter, Kecia Hemphill, her husband Chad Hemphill and two grandsons, Crandell and Carson Hemphill. He is also survived by his sister, Raymonde Bilodeau and her husband Don, and many nieces and nephews. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Louis” to many. MARCHAND BEECHER FALLS, Vt.–Muguette ‘Mimi’ Marchand, 73, of Beecher Falls, Vt., passed away on Saturday morning, April 23, 2016, at her home with her family by her side and after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Thetford Mines, Québec, on Christmas Day in 1942, a daughter to the late Ovide and Jeannette (Champagne) Marchand. She attended school in Bear Rock. For almost 50 years, Mimi worked at the Beecher Falls Divi- sion of Ethan Allen, and she waitressed at the Candlelight Restaurant for more than 20 years, as well. After retirement, she continued to work, and will be remembered by many as the custodian for the town hall in Colebrook. Mimi loved to spend time with her family, and she was everyone’s favorite aunt and greataunt. She enjoyed gardening, and she was also a dog lover, leaving behind her faithful canine companion, Molly. Mimi was a long-time communicant at St. Albert’s Catholic Church. She is survived by two brothers, Nil Marchand of Montreal, Que., and Normand Marchand and wife Suzanne of Manchester; two sisters, Louisette Thibeault of Pittsburg, and Annette Martin and husband John of Cape Cod, Mass.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial calling hours will be on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins and Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A memorial Mass will immediately follow at St. Albert’s Church at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Craig Cheney as celebrant. A graveside committal service will be held later in the spring at St. Brendan’s Cemetery of which notice will be given. Campbell KATHERINE M. CAMPBELL COLEBROOK–Katherine Mae Tilton Campbell, 69, passed away on Friday evening, April 22, 2016, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, with her family by her side and after a period of failing health. She was born in West Stewartstown on March 11, 1947, the daughter of the late Edward and Addie (Young) Tilton. She was raised in Pittsburg and lived there until the age of 16. Katherine worked many jobs in her life, including as a waitress at different local restaurants, and at The Balsams for many years. She also enjoyed working with her best friend, Karlene Grover, at her stove shop and basket buys, gardening and decorating her flower gardens, being with her shitzu dogs, listening to Elvis Presley music, ice and roller skating in her younger years, and she enjoyed attending trapping conventions. Katherine was an avid yard sale hunter, and she also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, playing pool, being with her horses, Goldie and Cote, all types of music, dancing and making jewelry. Her greatest joy and life’s work was being a loving homemaker and mother to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by five children, Carol Hodge and husband Larry Rancloes of Colebrook, Lisa Mako and husband Greg of Cambridge, England, Sally Hodge and companion William Stevens III of Colebrook, David Hodge and wife Rebecca of Colebrook, and Nathan Hodge of Colebrook; a brother, Curtis Tilton, Sr., of West Stewartstown; eight grandchildren, Karen Bunnell, Bridgett and David Burkman, Cedric, Jesse, and Hannah Brooks, Bryanna and Garrett Hodge; and three great-grandchildren, Kayden English, Kaylee Hodge, and Eli Bunnell. She also leaves behind her dearest friends, Lynda Gaudette and Karlene Grover of Colebrook, and her companion Al Olson with whom she was able to do much traveling with over the years. Katherine is predeceased by a brother, Richard Tilton, and a grandson, Bryan Hodge. MICHAEL JOHN CHLUDZINSKY CAMBRIDGE–Michael John Chludzinsky, 68, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday April 23, 2016 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Boston, Mass. on June 5, 1947 the son of Edward and Josephine (Litif) Chludzinsky and lived most of his life in the Boston area until moving to Lake Umbagog in 1993. Michael worked for the Boston Bus System for 25 years as a mechanic. He was a United States Navy Veteran, was a member of American Legion Post #107 in Groveton and enjoyed his camp at Lake Umbagog. Family members include his sister Carolyn Hansen and husband Arendt of Santa Monica, Cali.; a niece Christine Hansen of Santa Monica, Cali.; a cousin David Litif of Braintree, Mass.; and a close friend Fifi Scelparis. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Edward Chludzinsky Jr. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Bethany Gould BETHANY GOULD GROVETON–Bethany “Betty” Rilma Gould, 93, of 40 Stratford Road, Groveton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Weeks Memorial Hospital after a br ief illness with her family at her side. Betty was predeceased by her husband and love of her life of 60 years, Jay J. Gould in 2006. Born on December 25, 1922 in Stratford a daughter of Rilma and Harry Maguire, Betty was a lifelong resident of Groveton and lived in her home up to the time of her passing. Betty was a graduate of Groveton High School class of 1940. She worked in the Groveton Paper Mill and Styles Drug Store for many years before becoming a housewife and mother. She was a partner with her husband Jay in several businesses (Dunkin Donuts, Gould Construction, JJ’s Snack Bar, Development of Northumberland Shopping Center, Riverside Speedway, and Dean Brook Trailer Park). Betty enjoyed spending time with her children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was known as Gram-Gram by her great grandchildren. Holidays were always a special gathering. She also enjoyed discussing details of family events from her childhood to the present. Her favorite hobbies were dancing, (Continued on page 19)
