DOTTIE M. COOKE
COLUMBIA – Dorothy “Dottie” M. Cooke, 67, died on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the
Country Village Healthcare
Center in Lancaster after struggling with cancer for the past
several months.
Dottie was born in Orange,
N.J., on April 25, 1948, a daughter to the late Charles H. and
Alice R. (Auer) Cooke. She was
raised and educated in Morristown, N.J.
Dottie was a wonderful caregiver to many of her family
members for her entire life. She
lived with, and took care of her
mother and father in their elder
years.
She worked in the
dietary department at the
Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital for many years, and was well
loved by the patients and staff

always cooking something for
family and friends. She will be
remembered by all as always
doing something for someone
other than herself.
She leaves behind her brother,
Donald J. Cooke and wife Deborah of Columbia; two nieces,
Dawn Franklin and husband
Kurt, and Danielle Carrigan and
husband Christopher; and her
beloved great-nieces and nephews, Sofia Franklin, Evan Franklin, Piper Correll, and Gavin
Correll.
There are no public calling
hours. A committal service will
be held at the convenience of the
family in Morristown, N.J.
