Apricity Editors

Mira Mason-Reader is the founder and editor-in-chief of Apricity Press. She graduated from Mills College with a B.A. in English, Creative Writing and Dance and has an M.A. in English Creative Writing from University College Cork in Ireland.

Mira is a poet and a dancer whose writing has been published in a variety of publications including, Voices and Visions Journal, The Walrus Literary Journal and The Public Magazine. As a dancer, Mira has performed both her own work and other choreographers' for a little over twenty years. Most recently, Mira was flown to Rochester, New York to perform the choreography of Leigh Ann Kabatra in Dances at MuCCC, Contemporary dance by regional, national and international visiting artists. Mira received the Mary Merritt Henry Prize for a group of poems at the undergraduate level in 2014 and was the senior editor for The Walrus Literary Journal for two years (2013-2015).

Matthew Walton is the associate editor for Apricity Press. He is a History and Digital Communication Arts graduate from Oregon State University.

Matthew is an national award-winning radio personality & producer,

a poet & a journalist; an art & media factotum. He is endlessly inspired by the landscape of the Oregon Coast he grew up on, and uses that inspiration to fuel much of his artistic endeavors.

Neil Davidson is the fiction editor for Apricity Press. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing, where he focused his studies on American and Russian literature. He has a friendly obsession with folklore and myth of all varieties. He will be applying for M.F.A. programs in Creative Writing in the Fall of 2015. Neil is a fiction writer and sometimes poet, whose work in both genres has been published in Unbound Literary Arts Magazine. He won the magazine’s 2013 “My Bloody Valentine” Theme Contest, and was awarded the Walter and Nancy Kidd Scholarship by the University of Oregon for his participation in the highly competitive Kidd Tutorial creative writing program. As an undergraduate, Neil served for a year as the Vice-President of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honor Society, during which time he organized events to raise awareness of the
