However, when that anger is turned inward, it can be a very destructive enemy and even a potential silent killer. Inward Anger and the Body According to psychologists, inward anger is anger toward others that gets re-directed and turned against ourselves. It is anger that is repressed and essentially becomes self-hatred and begins to take on many different forms. The tricky part is, anger is a symptomatic emotion. It is a product of the initial feeling that originally caused the anger in the first place. The primary emotions are what lie beneath the anger.
