Organising own time effectively and finding solutions to problems were regarded as the most important factors for the successful performance of the role ( mean scores of 3.67 and 3.61 respectively ). Respondents also reported they demonstrated these skills very or quite well ( mean scores of 3.21 and 3.39 respectively ).
Managing accounts or tax affairs and marketing and promoting the sport / activity were seen as the least important ( mean scores of 2.48 and 3.10 respectively ) and respondents reported they were least likely to demonstrate these items very or quite well ( mean scores of 2.63 and 2.98 respectively ). The items with the greatest differences between scores and therefore key priorities for future learning and development are :
• organising own time effectively
• managing personal stress
• ability to cope with change .
Using information and digital technology and undertaking administrative duties had the smallest difference between scores and therefore the lowest need in terms of future learning and development .
