Letter from the Chair
Apple Valley is my home , and “ we are never selling our house ” is what my wife Tiffany always says . She , my sons ( Dominic and Christian ), our pets ( too many to name ) and myself have lived in Apple Valley for 10 years now and have seen this community grow and flourish . Tiffany loves working only 3 miles from our home at Minnesota Mental Health Clinics . Christian , Dominic and I enjoy fishing , so living in Cobblestone has been great . Apple Valley has everything we need without having to travel too far . With all the great food , shops , parks and local events , how can you not love it here ?
I ’ ve heard it said that prosperity is a good teacher , but I think adversity can be an even better teacher if we embrace it correctly . While this current pandemic is anything but an everyday problem , we can overcome through patience , caring and camaraderie . I ’ m fortunate to own a business in the employee benefits , payroll and HR industry which provides a unique perspective into the capabilities of people . I ’ m regularly surprised , and humbled , to see first-hand just how much people can care about each other . It reminds me that together we will always be stronger .
Great cities don ’ t “ just happen ” any more than a great garden would simply appear . It takes a deliberate array of local leaders working together to plan , nurture , problem solve , coordinate and collaborate around the needs of their communities . It takes insightful educators , creative business leaders , a compassionate government , and most of all , citizens who care about their city . The Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce is directly involved with each of these critical groups .
This pandemic is testing us , but it will not define us ! This time of adversity makes us long for our wonderful Chamber events more than ever , and it makes their mission even more relevant . Mine and the Chambers promise to you is to connect with you and assist businesses just like yours in any way we can . You will be heard , assisted , and lifted-up to the best of our ability . This directory can be used as a resource to connect with fellow members , protect and grow real jobs , and get our community further on the road to recovery .
