have the ability to grow alongside us. I think we
are slowly pioneering the process of fuelling ideas
for creative professionals to build brand equity,
equity investments, and overall progress. At the
same time, known houses such as Reliance
Industries and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail are
also extremely active in the space. So collectively,
many conglomerates are trying to make this into
an organised industry.

WHAT WERE A FEW CHALLENGES THAT
YOU ENCOUNTERED AND HOW WERE
THEY DEALT WITH?
Currently, we are in talks with close to 50
designers; we aim to invest in them in the next
24 months. However, there have been a few
hindrances—I think it is very important to have
clean accounts. Most solo entrepreneurs neglect
this bit when they are growing. This becomes a
major roadblock when they want to institutionalise
their businesses. Also, I think it is quite important
for a creative mind to be backed by a business
partner and vice versa.
IN WHAT WAYS DOES PURPLE STYLE
LABS ENABLE DESIGNERS TO REACH
OUT TO THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE?
As I mentioned earlier, it is crucial for a creative
mind to have a business partner for the smooth
functioning of the brand and the right distribution
of tasks. Keeping this in mind, Purple Style Labs
aims to build an online and offline space that can
not only boost the sales of these premium luxury
brands among Indian and international audiences,
but also assist these designers across multiple
platforms to ensure that they can uphold their
production, human resource management, and
equity capital. Whatever brands need to grow, we
are right here to help them with it.
