to the domestic market, there is
a lot of positivity and we have to
decide that 80 per cent business
should come from domestic clients.
Though there is hesitation among
exporters to work in Indian retail
owing to the belief that domestic
prices are not good…, but this
is not true as domestic retail
is becoming professional day
by day.” Before starting on his
own, Puneet had earlier served
as Director, Strategic Sourcing,

He further added that currently

the Indian market. While 20 per
cent of his business is from the
overseas market from clients like
TJX and others, moving ahead it
is in the process to start working
with Macy's. As far as vendors are
concerned, four vendors of Delhi-
NCR and one each from Surat
and Jaipur are associated with
the company.
“India is not a leader unlike
Bangladesh or Vietnam, but is a
follower as the country is forced to do
what is not being done by China. So,
it is better to focus on Indian retail.
Though my background is linked to
export, domestic is becoming more
organised, and hence, I don’t see any
problem in doing good business with
domestic clients,” concluded Puneet.
