India Knit Fair to witness visitation of nearly 50 buyers

Scheduled to be held from 16-18th May, the 45th edition of India International Knit Fair( IIKF), Tirupur will witness nearly 50 good and confirmed buyers from across the globe. There will be nearly 45 to 50 participating exporters of Tirupur who will display their latest collections at this exclusive international trade fair on knit garments. Some of the prominent exhibitors are Eastman Exports Global Clothing, Poppys Knit Wear, etc. Apart from overseas buyers, nearly 100 buying houses and buying agents from Delhi and Mumbai will also be visiting the fair.
India Knit Fair Association, the organizing body of the fair, is offering air tickets and stay facilities to some good buyers and buying houses. Dr. A Sakthivel, Chairman of the association told Apparel Online,“ We are expecting good business through this fair. We have invited good buyers and many good buying houses that specially source knitted garments.”
High-fashion ladies trendy dresses, T-shirts, knitted skirts, blouses, casualwear, childrenswear, nightwear and pyjamas, tie & dye dresses, trousers, etc. will be on display. HKL Magu, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council; and V. Sathyabama, Member of Parliament, Tirupur will inaugurate the fair.

SDPS, Indore to hold‘ Effloresce-2018 ' on 13th May

SDPS Women’ s College of Fashion Design, Indore is organizing its annual graduating show‘ Effloresce-2018’ on 13th May. The show will be highlighting graduate design collection of batch 2014-18.
SDPS is central India’ s leading educational group for girls based in Indore for more than two decades. Fashion designer Vikram Phadnis, Ken Ferns and Meher Castelino – the first Miss India and freelance fashion and marketing consultant, will also be present at the event.
Rikhil Nagpal, Head of Department, College of Fashion & Interior Design informed,“ Focusing on the theme Cosmos Essentials, our students have worked on avantgarde collections with a concept of sustainability and are also inspired from Marine Pollution, Gender Fluidity, Aurora, Yin-Yan, Santorini, etc. In addition, the students will be showcasing‘ Futuristic’ garments which will present an idea of fashion of the future. Keeping in mind themes like Elf, Forest Queen, Dracula and many more will mend the fabric of observation that people have.”
