among the seven biggest
companies of Apex Holdings
Limited in Bangladesh, produces
womens’ and mens’ innerwear,
night suits/loungewear and
shapewear. With its wide range of
products, the company serves an
esteemed list of clientele and retail
stalwarts like Walmart, Zara, H&M,
Target, Maidenform, Delta USA,
Hanes, Kappahl, The Children’s
Place, EMA and Primark, JCP and
several others. However, at Apparel
Sourcing Week, the company will
be majorly showcasing womens’
lingerie, which is a growing
category in the Indian market.
Apex Textile Printing Mills has
a vertical set-up to manufacture
high quality knit garments, using
in-house fabrics for infant and
children (1.7 to 1.8 million pieces
per year) and underwear for
women and men (3.6 to 4 million
pieces per year). The company has
its own state-of-the-art product
development department staffed by
textile engineers and professional
fashion designers, who in
synchronisation with the research
and development team, continue to
develop new fabrics, elastics, prints
and other embellishments.
The fashion designers and experts
at Apex then use these to develop
fashion and apparel items that are
then exported to several countries
and continents. This has proven
to be useful to the buyers from the
US and Europe, and many of them
are routinely using this facility. The
company annually manufactures
two million pieces of lingerie items,
each of which could be a buyer’s
delight at the sourcing event. Apex
has its own effluent treatment plant
and fulfils all the code of conduct
requirements of major retail stores
of the world and is certified by
Oeko-Tex, Sedex, OE, BSCI, FWC
and WRAP.

parent company Must Garment,
is one of the respected names in
the global apparel industry that
will be showcasing at the inaugural
edition of Apparel Sourcing Week,
India. The company has three
state-of-the-art manufacturing
units, besides sourcing and
developing new fabrication in
China, Taiwan and Korea. Lenny
Fashions has product strength in
woven and knitted bottoms, woven
tops and jackets, and the company
is planning to display woven and
knitted bottoms at the event. The
Bangladesh exporter has its own
international team of fashion
designers, trend forecasters, textile
designers, graphic designers and
fabric specialists covering trends
in Europe, USA and Asia. At
ASW, the company is expecting a
minimum quantity order of around
10,000 pieces per 3 colours.
The Group was founded in
1981 by the Mahtani family in
Hong Kong with a single office
and a handful of employees.
Currently, Must Garment is an
international company with more
than 20,000 employees supporting
the company’s business of
manufacturing and supplying high
quality garments to top brands in
the US and European market. With
factories and offices in Hong Kong,
the US, the UK, China, Bangladesh,
Vietnam, Egypt and Bahrain, the
Group has a global presence and
has a monthly production capacity
of three million.
Its factories use the state-of-the-art
technology and are fully complaint.
Although already working in India,
the company is still gung-ho about
the event, as it is expecting to make
contacts with retailers relevant
to its products. Located in the
Dhaka Export Processing Zone
(DEPZ), the company is set up in
consultation with Kurt Salmon
Associates from the UK. With US
$ 500 million turnover, all the three
units of Lenny Fashions have an
annual production capacity of
around 14 million garments. Along
with in-house embroidery, laundry
and laboratory facilities, the Group
has a world-class research and
development (R&D) facility at
DEPZ. The company manufactures
for international retailers/brands
like Gap, H&M, JCPenney, Kohl’s,
Marks & Spencer, Macy’s, Target,
Tommy Hilfiger, Walmart, Primark,
C&A and many more.
