Riding high on sustainable innovation; adding new market

Mumbai, a globally established Indian manufacturer and exporter of textile chemical auxiliaries, enzymes and polymers, is now also focusing on the Vietnam market. Completing 21 years of its establishment, the company recently participated in a denim fabric sourcing event at HCM City in Vietnam where its products were highly appreciated. The team of the company was really enthusiastic as Vietnam-based jeans manufacturers were not only very well aware of the company, but even showed great interest in the company’ s offering.
Rossari Biotech has in its portfolio many interesting solutions for textile processing from pre-treatment to dyeing & printing to finishing. With a manufacturing unit in Silvassa that produces, on an average around 150 tonnes of chemicals / enzymes per day, the company invests a lot in R & D to continuously add innovative products to its already very large product basket. The research facilities encompass all the divisions of the company with Application Laboratories for textile and polymer applications to Microbiology Laboratories for enzyme research and Reaction Laboratories equipped with the appropriate facilities for carrying out polymer reaction and emulsion research and product development. Sustainability, has been the core at Rossari from day one and the company has graduated very well in this regard. Most of its products are eco-friendly and in line with new regulations and requirements of the textile industry.

Vietnam.“ A lot of investments are coming to Vietnam; also innovations and knowledge transfer is taking place here. As such Vietnam is full of opportunities at this point of time. We felt that it is the perfect time for us to enter into this market,” reasoned Ajay Sharma, VP – Exports, Rossari Biotech Limited. Since Vietnam is also focusing on sustainability in a big way, the company feels that it has an edge on which to build relationships.
The company is not at all worried about competition in this new market as it claims to have a cost advantage.“ It is a buyer-driven market and we are very much competitive to any player from across the globe. Looking at the volume and business what we cater globally, I feel we will be successful in serving Vietnam also, as we were able to do in many other markets. We are very much positive to get some business in coming months from this country,” added Puneet Arora, VP – Textiles of the company. The duo was happy as they noticed that Rossari Biotech is known to everybody in Vietnam. They further added that the only challenge that they foresee is the language, but it should be only at the initial level and with few clients only.
