Japan Apparel Imports
January to March 2018
Asian countries somehow manage to grow
in Japan’s clothing market
Japan witnessed a downfall in its apparel demand in Q1 ’18
which ended on 31st March. Quantity-wise apparel import of
the country fell 1.32% from a year earlier. However, despite
the fact that Japan failed to improve clothing demand in its
domestic retail market, the import from the top Asian countries
including India, Bangladesh and Vietnam surged during the
period which might send positive vibes to the apparel exporters
of these three manufacturing powerhouses.
