Recently one of our buyers from Norway directly came to Jaipur. She had heard a lot about Delhi’s pollution and avoided going to the city due to the same reason. She called Delhi-based exporters to Jaipur and met them there and went back directly from Jaipur. Few other buyers also have had such pollution-related discussion with me. This is just one of my experience. It implies that such similar situations might also be happening elsewhere. Avoidance of buyers’ to go to Delhi is not a good sign and if things are not going to change, there will be a major impact on the business. Our society, administration and Government should seriously and collectively work on the pollution issue with long-term planning.
