Japan Apparel Imports
January to April 2018
Japan upswings in woven clothing
import in April
Japan grew in its clothing demand in the month of April.
Though cumulative data from January to April 2018 shows the
country is still falling in its imports by 0.30 per cent. However,
woven segment propelled the growth of Japan while knitted
segment remained on negative scale. Bangladesh and Vietnam
noted surge in double digits in both value and volume of their
respective exports to Japan while India too grew decently
during the period.

India Exports
During the review period, India
got a boost in both volume
and value of apparel exports to
Japan by 5.26% and 7.22%,
respectively.
Vietnam Exports
Vietnam witnessed notable surge
in its apparel exports to Japan as
the country was up by 16.82% in
volumes, whereas the country got
13.38% boost in export value.

Bangladesh Exports
Bangladesh got a commendable boost
in both knitted and woven segments.
Apparel exports to Japan during the
review period upped by 13.88% in
volumes and 10.54% in values.
China Exports
China could not see any positive
turnaround in apparel exports to Japan
as volumes dipped by (-) 4.21%,
values too plunged by (-) 5.61%.
