Capes have proved
to be a luxurious
outerwear option that
have been marching
all the way to the
top. Sweeping and
dramatic, they were
spotted at every
fashion capital this
season.
This season, capes
appear to be a literal
manifestation of a
solution, from opera-
ready jacquards to
body-engulfing leather,
with ample leopard
print numbers thrown
into the mix as well.
Erdem interpreted
glittering and star-
spangled details over
capes that channelled romanticism; on the contrary,
portraying strong and fierce working women,
Alberta Ferreti chose leather as a medium to depict
the same.
Anti Social Social

collection to have

Wickstead to
present Resort
2019 in Sydney
Youth-cult streetwear brand Anti
Social Social Club (ASSC) has
released its much-anticipated
Spring/Summer 2018 collection on
its Instagram page. The limited
edition line comes as a collaborative
creative effort between ASSC and 3
labels namely Playboy, Japan-based
MASTERMIND and UNDEFEATED. As per the speculations, London-
based designer Emilia Wickstead
is set to showcase her Resort 2019
collection in Sydney from May 13-17,
2018 during the upcoming Mercedes-
Benz Fashion Week (MBFW).
Tapping into the bold typographic
aesthetics, the capsule offers a
slew of hoodies, T-shirts, and caps,
each with a different character
to it based on the collaborative
project it is a part of. The collection
is available for purchase on the
brand’s official website, ranging
from US $ 36 for a pair of slippers
to under US $ 90 for cotton
fleece hoodies.
The collection is said to be an
exclusive ‘See Now, Buy Now’
capsule designed in collaboration
with the luxury e-tailer
Matchesfashion.com. The 18-piece
collection will focus on a vacation
wardrobe that will be unveiled on
May 15 at Sydney’s Carriageworks
venue, following which the collection
will be launched digitally on
Matchesfashion.com as a global
trunk show on May 17. All the
pieces would be ready for purchase
immediately, once the collection
goes live on the multi-brand website.
Dolce & Gabbana made a loud roar by showcasing
the capes in bold animal prints, while Dior
excavated 1968 for its revolutionary spirit and chose
to present its outerwear in impressive shearling.

Jones has a respectable
streetwear fan following and
almost 350,000 followers on
Instagram, thanks to his work
with the cult streetwear brand
Supreme. This expertise is
something Dior Homme could
really use as the entire portfolio
of the company struggles to find
a place in the modern hyper-
digital fashion landscape.
