US continues to rebound in its apparel imports
January-May 2017
Continuing the recovery, the US’s apparel imports witnessed positive trend in the 5th month of 2017 as well. The
largest apparel importer in the world, noted hike in volume of imported apparel, whereas fall in unit prices in
Vietnam, China and Bangladesh helped US rebound in value terms. Moreover, outlook for the US apparel industry
is bright which might push this growth on a bigger level in the coming months.
