Canada Apparel Imports
January to March 2018
Canada rises massively in apparel imports value during Q1 ’ 18
Canada witnessed a massive rise ( 25.52 %) in its apparel import in the first quarter of 2018 . Not just apparels , Canada felt the shivers of higher than usual import levels in other categories too which further resulted in widened trade deficit . During the period , the deficit was more than double of what analysts had forecast earlier . However , with CPTPP and CETA , Canada is predicting a better year ahead as far as trade with partner countries is concerned that might reduce the gap of deficit in the further months .

The knitted apparel reported 25.72 % surge during the review period , whereas the woven segment saw rise of 25.34 % in value terms .

16.79 %

Bangladesh escalated in both knitted and woven garment exports to Canada by 16.47 % and 17 % respectively , during the review period .
Japan Apparel Imports
January to February 2018
Vietnam-made apparels rapidly increase to Japan
Overcoming from the downfall that Japan witnessed in apparel imports in January this year , the country sharply escalated in the second month of the year . Japan soared in its apparel imports by almost 11 per cent in Jan . -Feb . ’ 18 period and the major boost came from Vietnam which upped its apparel exports to Japan by massive 31.83 per cent and 28.20 per cent in volumes and values , respectively .

Bangladesh noted jump in both knitted and woven segments . Apparel exports to Japan during the review period upped by 3.47 % in volumes and 1.59 % in values .
Vietnam witnessed staggering surge in its apparel exports to Japan as the country was up by 31.83 % in volumes whereas the country got 28.20 % boost in export value .
