EU apparel import continues to gain pace; up 11.17 % in volume

January to February 2018
EU’ s apparel imports have continued surging in the first 2 months of 2018 in volume terms, as a rebound of the euro and the sterling from a year earlier has declined unit prices. Of all exporting destinations, Bangladesh has taken advantage of the fall of the taka, whereas Chinese shipments have lost significant shares of the market as it exported apparels to EU worth just € 1.97 billion in February as against an export value of € 2.63 billion in the January month.
