The fifth set of training courses will be provided by Intertek under Skills for Employment Investment Programme (SEIP) of the Government of Bangladesh that aims to create future leaders of the garment industry who will contribute significantly to the economic growth of Bangladesh. Under the training programme, Intertek, in association with BGMEA, will offer both classroom training and practical skilling as well on the shopfloor, to create practical awareness of quality assurance testing in the textile and garment manufacturing sector. Markedly, the Intertek and SEIP partnership is aimed at offering an opportunity to selected students in Bangladesh to learn best practices in a world-class laboratory like Intertek’s that will allow them to achieve best in-class performance in the workplace. Realising the same, Jalal Ahmed, Executive Project Director, (EPD) and Secretary, Finance Division, Finance Ministry urged students to utilise this opportunity to skill them with the desired quality to become a textile professional and contribute significantly to strengthen the economy of the country. It is pertinent to add here that Intertek has a network of more than 1,000 labs and offices and over 42,000 people in more than 100 countries who deliver innovative and bespoke assurance, testing, inspection and certification solutions to customers world over.
