metal zippers / day, FIZ uses Chinese machines( made in collaboration with Italy) for manufacturing metal zippers, machines of Korean make to manufacture Fizlon zippers, Taiwanese machines to make Coil zippers and Chinese machinery exclusively for metal buttons.
With the competition heating up, Nasir Ullah feels, a compliant and modern facility today is a must if one has to garner nominations from global brands and make a definite headway in the business.
“ The new factory is established to target the brands specifically. Though we are catering to almost all the prominent brands, we are yet to be nominated officially( except for some French brands like LMA, Orchestra, Reiner, etc); we are basically doing business with them through third party. sewing thread still surpasses that of zippers and buttons because of the poor demand-supply scenario,” adding that this is the reason he has decided to introduce sewing thread manufacturing in FIZ in the present year itself, for which he is planning to get machinery and equipment from Switzerland to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction.
A firm believer of the adage,‘ Slow and steady wins the race’, Nasir Ullah does not want to rush into things, and rather prefers to take one step at a time.“ Currently our main aim is to fill our production capacity. Once we get nominations, which we are expecting soon, we would be able to do so to a large extent. After that we would plan for the future,” winds up the fastidious CEO positively. It is remarkable to note here that two of his accessory manufacturing units already jointly clock a turnover of more than US $ 2 million monthly, which is expected to get a significant boost once nominations start trickling in.
