EDITOR'S PICK - 2018 << 2018 Through The Editor’s Eye < < As I sat down to pen the editorial for this special recap issue, a bevy of thoughts clouded my mind, which compelled me to think if it will be pertinent to try and summarise all the developments, challenges and achievements that the industry witnessed in 2018 in the allocated space of just one page. The humongous implication of all the developments that 2018 left in its wake for the industry to ponder upon and devise strategies to successfully negotiate in the coming years – which I am sure would come with their own share of promises and challenges – seemed just not possible to recapitulate in mere one page. Just as I was wondering what best I could do to retain the essence and spirit of all these issues, it dawned on me to categorise the major advancements of 2018 under different heads and share with the readers our perspectives on these issues at various points of time, as things took shape and developed in the course of the last 12 months. But before I proceed to present my perspectives on issues that mattered, I wish the industry the very best for 2019 and applaud it for its relentless efforts put forth for charting in new avenues of growth and development in the challenge-filled year that 2018 has been.
