US-based fashion retailer
Abercrombie has partnered
with renowned TV personality
Giuliana Rancic and her son
Duke to curate exclusive range
for the company’s ‘Everybody’
Collection, launched by the brand
earlier this year. and girls who don’t want to be

Giuliana and Duke have worked
with the American apparel label’s
kidswear designing team to pick
thread colours and offer their
opinions on sketches, graphics
and collection. The upcoming
collection will mark its debut

encourages Duke to dress in any

(US $ 30.7 billion) during its 24-
hour online shopping bonanza

The 10th annual Chinese
shopping event recorded the first
US $ 1 billion of transactions
in one minute and 25 seconds.
Shoppers across China and
world over bought items
including iPhones, furniture and
milk powder starting pre-dawn.
The figures include orders
settled on Alibaba’s online
payment service Alipay across
its various online retail services
such as AliExpress and Taobao.
The firm also included revenues
from Lazada, an e-commerce

“We can feel that merchants
are fully embracing the internet
and helping with consumption
upgrade,” said Daniel Zhang,
Alibaba’s Chief Executive Officer.
This year, the firm surpassed
its last year’s full-day sales
record of 168 billion yuan
in under 16 hours. However
despite the record haul, the
annual sales growth rate fell
from 39 per cent to 27 per cent,
at the low end of estimates and
the smallest rate in the 10 years
span of the event.

Day is the world’s biggest online
sales event, outshining the
sales of US shopping holidays
Black Friday and Cyber Monday
combined. Singles’ Day was
originally a novelty student
holiday to celebrate being single,
countering Valentine’s Day, but
has since grown into a month-
long online shopping festival
that peaked with a 24-hour sale

the event is credited to Daniel
