Canada Apparel Imports
January to May 2018
Vietnam emerges highest grosser in Canadian
apparel imports
Canada, by far in 2018, has seen no decline in its apparel import
values. Shipment from China, however, fell marginally but Vietnam,
Cambodia, India, Bangladesh and Indonesia have surged significantly
in their respective apparel exports to Canada. Vietnam emerged as
the highest grosser as it upped its exports from US $ 270 million
from last year to US $ 310 million this year (till May). If this surge is
anything to go by, it can be stated that Vietnam is capitalising on the
benefits the country got from the recently signed CPTPP.
