TRADE STATISTICS US witnesses surge in clothing demand; exports from India sharply rise January to May 2018 The USA marked a decent growth in the domestic clothing demand due to which volume-wise apparel imports zoomed up during the first 5 months of 2018. China plunged both in volume and values of exports to the USA for the first time in a while. On the other hand, India is catching up fast in value terms as the data shows India upped its exports to the USA by 4.81% and it is projected that the country will surpass Indonesia to grab the 4th rank in top exporting destinations tally by the end of this year.
