Eastman Technocrafts showed up
denim automation solutions by
Chinese bigwig PFT Automation
H
igher efficiency and productivity
is the need of the hour for the
apparel industry to survive and this
can be achieved only by technological
intervention. This need is pushing
technology providers to come up with
innovative solutions that can deliver
desired results. Bangladesh-based
Eastman Technocrafts, known for
its complete range of automation for
the apparel industry, was present
at Garmentech 2019 with a strong
focus on the denim segment which is
reaching new heights in the country.
Eastman showed up with denim
automation solutions provided by
Chinese bigwig PFT Automation.
Team Apparel Online found out some
insights into the company’s strategy
during Garmentech in Dhaka lately.
PFT, in collaboration with Eastman
Technocrafts in Bangladesh, majorly
focuses on denim automation and
is making continuous efforts to give
solutions that can reduce manpower,
increase quality and shorten lead time
of the final product. PFT has a number
of products in its basket including
automatic pattern machine for Jeans
J stitch, double head full automatic
pocket setter with cold folding group,
double needle sewing machine for tape
attaching, automatic cylinder long arm
repairing machine, automatic 2 needle
belt loop attaching sewing machine
and a lot more.
Just giving
technological
solutions to the
market is not

competitive era
and nowadays
it has become
imperative for the
companies to sell
complete package
which includes
machines, strong
technical support,
training and
ready availability
of spare parts.

One of the displayed products of
PFT in the four-day long technology
extravaganza was double head full
automatic pocket setter machine with
cold folding group which comes in two
models, PFT-220MT and PFT-223MT.
The machine is capable of sewing with
two different colour stitch pockets and
it takes approximately 5-7 seconds to
finish a pocket. Moreover, it can work
efficiently in an eight-hour shift at a
speed of around 3,000 RPM. These
machines are capable of producing
1,250 pairs of pockets each.
The PFT-220MT is a double head
machine which can manufacture
pocket size of maximum 200x200 mm
while PFT-223MT can sew pocket size
of 230x225mm. The machines are
suitable for almost every kind of fabric
such as elastic fabric, thin fabric as
well as thick material. “Our double
head pocket setter machine gives 20
to 30 per cent more efficiency when
compared to single head pocket setter
machine,” said Renjun Pan, Senior
Company Representative, PFT.
Just giving technological solutions
to the market is not the only way to

era and nowadays it has become

our customers,” expressed Manik
Chowdhury, Managing Director,
Eastman Technocrafts Limited.
He further asserted that PFT is the
new technology which is far ahead
of other available machines in the
market in terms of technology. “I have
worked personally to study customer
demands in today’s era. Keeping
these requirements in mind, PFT has
developed its technology which gives

trouble-free performance maintaining
the desired level of quality in the
product,” quoted Manik.
Markedly, Eastman Technocrafts has
more than 50 technicians who are
specially trained to run these machines
and they continuously travel to places
wherever necessary to provide solutions
to the customers,” asserted Manik.
PFT has also collaborated with Taizhou
University with which the company
experiments to bring in new and better
innovations to the market. As stated
by the MD of Eastman Technocrafts,
“We can also modify our technology
according to the need of the customers.
If our customer has any customised
requirement, we work on it to serve
them with the same.”
Talking about its future goals, the
company disclosed that it’s on the
way to bring in new innovations and
technologies that will meet the future
trends of the market especially in the
denim segment. “We will have new
strategies to increase our sales three
times more than what we have right
now,” added Manik, emphasising that
Eastman will conduct a number of
in-house training programmes and
seminars in the upcoming days to help
the apparel industry understand the
technical know-how of PFT machines.
It’s worth noting here that companies
such as Denimach, Denim Asia, Adams
Style are using PFT technology and are
getting all sort of satisfaction in the sewn
products. “All our customers appreciate
our machine performance as compared
to other machines in the world,” claimed
Manik.
Furthermore, Haopeng Pan, Director,
PFT, was quite in praise for Bangladesh
Government for supporting its apparel
industry which constitutes 85 per cent
of the overall earnings of the country.
He asserted, “I believe, with the official
support, we will get better opportunities
to serve our Bangladeshi customers
with better technologies in future. Also, I
have total faith in Eastman’s capabilities
and the synergy between us will be
helpful for the industry.”
