from among the collections of unbranded and
locally branded products,” expresses a retailer
from Kerala. Even in large-format multi-brand
stores such as Big Bazaar, it has been observed
that middle-class buyers instinctively pick up Zola.
When asked why, another buyer remarked, “We
are pleased with the quality of the brand. It is
affordable, and does not disappoint us.”
The brand predominantly has presence in
markets across metros and small towns—this
bears testimony to the fact that Zola is as much
preferred by women from cities as it is by those of
rural India. “We keep the latest trends in mind so
that we can deliver to all sensibilities and changing
mindsets of people in big and small towns,” says
Mr Shah. Zola has enough in its basket to fulfill the
wardrobe options of all kinds of women.
The acceptability of Zola is intact because of its
attention to quality fabrics and focus on the
perfect fit.
“On an average, each day, 30,000 Zola garments
are rolled in packs, out of 800 factories across the
country. 18 fashion designers come together to
create outstanding pieces preferred by women of
all geographical, social, and economic strata. As
many as 15,000 workers toil endlessly to make
Zola what it is today. More than 6,200 retailers
proudly sell Zola; the defect rate of the brand is
almost zero, and the delivery network expansion
will continue,” Mr Shah adds.
Zola has been a recipient of many prestigious
awards in the past, one of which is the CMAI Apex
Awards, which it received consecutively in 2016
and 2017.
